VONZELLA’S CROWN WAS FOUNDED IN MARCH 2020 IN HONOR OF OUR MOTHER VONZELLA C. CLAYTON WHO TRANSITIONED TO HER HEAVENLY HOME ON FEBRUARY 27, 2020

Although vibrant, full of life, and a fashionista; our mother faced a plethora of health challenges that plaque many of our senior citizens and women of color. Heart, Kidney Disease, Diabetes, Respiratory, and High Blood pressure issues just to name a few. However my siblings and I were fortunate enough to act as her advocates. During that process of going in and out hospitals with her we faced many challenges advocating for proper care and her rights as a patient. We also observed Senior Citizens who had no one to advocate or fight for them, many of them abandoned and left alone.

All over the nation this has become a growing trend especially since the COVID-19 pandemic. Senior Citizens are dealing with the effects of being socially isolated for months, in addition to social emotional, psychological, and numerous other health challenges. Senior Citzens are our forgotten population and it’s Vonzella’s Crown objective to advocate and let our seniors know they matter.

Our goal is to change the trajectory by improving the quality of life for our seniors, and women by addressing their health and wellness, social emotional, and educational needs by creating self-healing communities through charity, community service, advocacy, music and the arts.
